Arizona State Specific Science Safety Compliance

Science labs answer to thousands of rules, and most of them apply in every state. This free module covers only the Arizona science lab safety rules and requirements: the ones Arizonans need to pay attention to, each tied to the exact Arizona law or rule that sets it. It is the home of the Arizona State Specific Science Safety Compliance Requirements Sheet and teaches the sheet rule by rule.

What a learner will be able to do

• Say which Arizona rules cover public, private, federal and tribal workplaces
• Apply Arizona’s eye protection law to a lab, shop or art room, observers included
• Explain how ADOSH covers school staff and which federal standards it applies, as of which date
• Register and run a Class 3b or Class 4 laser under Arizona’s rules, and report an injury on time
• Apply Arizona’s State Fire Code and the State Fire Marshal’s school inspections to a school
• Check a school’s evacuation, fire instruction and emergency plans, and check an organization against the sheet
