What is on the poster
Tape the posts. Both sit on top, and a coin, a paper clip or another battery across them can start a fire.
Store
- Keep them in the original packaging until they are needed.
- Stored loose? Cover the posts with masking, duct or electrical tape.
- Keep the posts away from metal objects.
- Never in a container with other batteries.
- Store them upright, held so they cannot move around.
Dispose
- Never in the regular trash: it can touch other batteries or metal and start a fire.
- Tape both posts first.
- Take it to a household hazardous waste collection site.
