NRCC CHO Exam Test Prep: the exam prep module on its own
This product is the NRCC CHO Exam Test Prep module only. It does not include the Chemical Hygiene Officer Certification Pathway. It is for learners who have already taken the pathway, or who have equivalent training, and now want to prepare for the exam.
The National Registry of Certified Chemists (NRCC) Chemical Hygiene Officer (CHO) exam is 150 multiple-choice questions in three hours. Most of its questions ask for something exact: an OSHA section number, a definition, how often something is done, a limit. This module drills that material the way the exam asks it.
It is for Chemical Hygiene Officers and candidates in education (school districts, private and independent schools, colleges and universities) and in industry (research, testing, quality control and manufacturing laboratories). The OSHA Laboratory Standard the exam is built on covers both.
What is in the module
- A diagnostic assessment that shows which of NRCC's eighteen content areas need your attention, so your study time goes where it counts.
- Content-area lessons with flip cards for the exact facts the exam asks for, including OSHA section numbers, definitions, frequencies and limits, and practice questions that show the answer and its source.
- The calculations candidates report on the exam: the time-weighted average, exposure limits and fume hood face velocity, worked step by step, with a calculations practice quiz.
- Test-taking strategy for one-best-answer exams, and a one-page high-yield summary of section numbers, key numbers and formulas.
- A full-length practice exam: 150 questions in three hours, the same length and time as the real exam.
