Find out before exam day
The NRCC Chemical Hygiene Officer Mock Exam is a full-length rehearsal of the National Registry of Certified Chemists examination: 150 one-best-answer questions, a three-hour clock, a pass line at 60 percent and a result scored against each of NRCC’s eighteen content areas. Sit it once, cold, and the result page says which areas need the weeks before the exam.
It is for candidates in education (school districts, private and independent schools, colleges and universities) and in industry (research, testing, quality control and manufacturing laboratories).
What is in the module
- How the NRCC exam runs: the format, the proctoring, who can sit it, the three attempts and the eighteen content areas.
- Sitting the mock under exam conditions: how the mock behaves, how to set up the three hours, and the 72-seconds-a-question pace.
- Reading the score by content area: which low scores are firm and which are hints, the error list, NRCC’s reading list and what memory research says about the weeks before.
- The Practice Exam: 150 questions across all eighteen content areas, three hours, scored area by area. It can be sat again after studying.
What it is not
The questions are Science Safety’s own, written from the reading NRCC recommends and the regulations it cites. The module holds no questions from NRCC’s examination, and no course can guarantee a pass.
Need the preparation as well as the mock?
The NRCC Chemical Hygiene Officer Exam Prep module holds this same practice exam together with a 36-question diagnostic, recall lessons for every content area, the exam’s calculations worked until they are routine, and a study plan. The mock exam alone is for a candidate who has done the studying and wants the dress rehearsal.
