What is on the poster
For students and the adult supervising. The activity is done as written, with an adult, every time.
Do
- Have an adult supervising, at every grade.
- Read the whole activity first, step by step.
- Use only the product the activity names.
- Read its label: the signal word, the hazard, the first aid.
- Wear the protective equipment the activity lists: splash goggles, nitrile gloves, an apron.
- Put everything away afterward, out of reach of younger children.
- Clean up and dispose of it as the activity and the label say.
Never
- Swap in a different product or brand without asking your teacher.
- Mix household products that are not meant to be mixed.
- Use an open flame, a stove or any heat source.
- Use anything labeled DANGER or POISON.
- Start without the protective equipment the activity needs.
