The Chemical Hygiene Officer Pathway teaches the technical work: labels and Safety Data Sheets, storage, spills, fume hoods, inventories and inspections. This capstone assumes you know that work. It teaches what the technical courses cannot: how to get a school district or a company to act on what you know.

It is written for Chemical Hygiene Officers in education and in industry. Every lesson teaches one leadership skill, then shows it twice, once in a school or district and once in a company or lab.

Eight modules, one plan

• From Checklist Keeper to Leader: what the role really is, and the authority it needs.
• Reading Your Organization: a gap check across every building or lab, a ranked list of risks kept in a risk register, and strategy turned into tactics.
• Leading Upward: making the case to the people who fund the program.
• Leading Across: facilities, custodians, purchasing, the nurse or medical provider, and the fire marshal.
• Leading the People in the Lab: culture over compliance, and the human side of change.
• Leading Training: training that changes what people do.
• Leading When It Goes Wrong: the first hour, the report, and the root cause.
• Measuring and Sustaining: the signs that show the program is working, and a program that outlasts you.

Each module ends with a Task, and each Task writes one part of your own Chemical Hygiene Leadership Plan. The final project assembles the parts into one plan for your school district or your site.
